The National Insulation Association of Ireland (NIAI) was established in 2009 as a trade association to promote and advance insulation and energy saving measures in both the new-build and retrofit markets, but is now operating in a new and different market space.

The role of the NIAI is to support its members to develop the market, provide technical and marketing advice where required, to ensure full and proper engagement with all stakeholders, and to provide competitive energy-saving solutions. Both the NIAI and its members are fully committed to maintaining and raising quality standards within the insulation industry – reference NSAI S.R. 54:2014.

The NIAI membership comprises manufacturers, system designers, contractors and installers. The system designers are all NSAI Certified and installers/contractors are both NSAI and SEAI registered

The NIAI is a one-stop shop for key stakeholders in the energy-saving market and is a reference point for contractors and homeowners alike. It also promotes products and installations of the highest quality for the new-build and retrofit markets.

The Association works closely with the membership to be the authoritative voice of the insulation industry and to represent the interests of all members

The vision

To be fully inclusive and represent the interests of all stakeholders.

To Increase membership across different sectors.

To strengthen and develop relationships with relevant Government Departments – SEAI and NSAI.

Together with the NIA Northern Ireland branch, the Association is expanding its membership to include providers of other energy-saving measures, in addition to encouraging members to embrace new technologies.

This Code of Practice gives consumers and the public at large an additional guarantee as to the quality and standard of the service delivered.
